Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data Longroad handles, why, and what rights you have under UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR.

Who is responsible

The site is run by a private individual in the United Kingdom, who is the controller of any personal data you send. Postal and telephone details are shown at the foot of every page.

What we collect

Only what you enter in the contact form: your name, your e-mail address and your message. Nothing is collected simply because you visit the site. There are no analytics, no tracking and no advertising tools.

Why and on what basis

Your details are used for one purpose only: to read your question and send you a reply. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form.

You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing it does not affect a reply already sent.

Sharing

Your details are never sold, rented or shared for marketing. They are passed only to the technical services needed to deliver the form and the e-mail, and only for that purpose.

How long we keep it

Messages are kept only as long as needed to answer them and deal with any follow-up. They are deleted within twelve months at the latest, and sooner if you ask.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it. To use any of these rights, write to us by post or through the contact form.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, the new version will be published on this page. The way your data is used will never change without telling you first.
